2010 Short Term Mission Projects

To assist you in planning your mission involvement in 2010, we are providing the following mission opportunities.  These mission opportunities are listed in date order.

Orphanage Emanuel – Honduras
February 5 - 27

Activities include construction and maintenance work at the Orphanage.

     Approximate cost: $500/Week + Airfare

 Ohrid – Macedonia

April 3 – 13

     Activities include parenting classes, “Mommy and me” classes for the ladies
     and community development for the men.

     Team Leader:  Mark Fraker                                                                 
     Approximate cost: $1,300

 Phnom Penh – Cambodia

May 21 – 31

      Activities include construction of rainwater harvesting system and Bible
      teaching through chronological Bible storying.

     Team Leader:  Robby Wilson                                                            
     Approximate cost:  $2,000

Baptist Medical/Dental - Honduras

June 12 - 19

Activities include provision of medical and dental services to people in the ministry area and evangelism.  

     Team Leader:  Mike Carder                                                              
     Approximate cost: $1,250

West Virginia

June 19 - 26

A family mission trip.  Activities include VBS and Sports Evangelism and Backyard Bible Clubs. Approximate cost for 16 years and older is $350; for ages 5-15, $150; with a maximum charge per family of $1,000.

Youth Choir Trip – San Jose, Costa Rica

July 8 - 16

Activities include nightly choir presentations and daytime ministries in remote Nicaraguan refugee villages.

Challis, Idaho

July

Activities include soccer camp for children and youth, construction and community outreach and development.

     Approximate cost: $750

Amman – Jordan
July 30-Aug. 10 (approx)

Activities limited to medical services.  Team will staff a government sponsored medical clinic for the Bedouin people group living in Jordan.

Timothy/Barnabas

Activities include teaching/discipleship training for pastors and wives using prepared material from First Baptist Church of Woodstock.
