OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN

In addition to our regular Sunday and Wednesday programs, we also offer other special opportunities for women, such as:

  • Short and long-term Bible studies, offered on our campus weekday mornings or in members’ homes on weekday evenings
  • A MOPS group that provides support and fellowship for Mothers of Preschoolers (see www.MOPS.org for information on this international organization). Our group meets two Wednesday mornings a month from September-April. For more information email mops@redbankbaptist.org.
  • Special events and conferences
  • An active Widow’s Ministry that helps encourage and affirm those in their golden years

We believe that we are all unique creations of God, designed to reflect God’s glory throughout the many seasons of our lives. Our prayer is that you enjoy a beautiful lifetime journey of faith through the love of God, the grace of Jesus, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Women’s Ministry Update

The Summer is a time for learning and fulfilling the Great Commission.  Romans 12:2 reminds us that we are to be “transformed” by the renewing of our minds.  Transformation takes place through spending time in God’s Word and personal Bible Study.  Take a look at the Summer Bible Studies below:

  Sacred Roads by Heather Zemple

Throughout history, people have gravitated toward
different methods of
discipleship.  For a while,
discipleship was entirely relational--early church
small groups.  When Christianity became the legal
religion of the Roman Empire, discipleship became experiential—cathedrals,  Stations of the cross,
iconography, and taking mass.  With the Reformation
came Intellectualism—people started studying the
Bible for themselves and emphasized the conversion
of  the mind.  Later, it became personal—the onset

of the personal quiet time.  Finally, discipleship becameincarnational—occurring
  while serving through missions.
Sacred Roads takes a look at these methods of
discipleship, finding the worthwhile attributes of each, and providing practical ways
implement each expression into our  modern pursuit of Christ. (5 sessions).

Ruth: Loss, Love & Legacy by Kelly Minter

Ruth’s journey of unbearable loss, redeeming love, and divine legacy comes  alive in the second study in the Living Room Series. Women can share time, dinner, music, and  their lives together as they explore the virtuous character of Ruth, her unique relationship with her  mother-in-law, and her blossoming love with Boaz in this relational Bible Study that merges Scripture with everyday life.  Includes a leader guide, recipes, and music playlist suggestions.  Free weekly videos, interactive Web site extras, and more available at www.lifeway.com/livingroomseries. (6 sessions)

  Pursuing More of Jesus
  by Anne Graham Lotz
Dig into the Gospel of John with this highly inductive
approach to Bible Study.  Participants will be led to
complete short activities individually and in small groups
as they explore inductive study.  Messages address His
voice in my ear, His courage in my convictions, His
Spirit in my service, and more of His glory on my knee.
  (6 sessions)

5 Conversations You Must Have with
  Your Daughter
by Vicki Courtney
Helps moms and daughters depend on God in a
culture that often leads otherwise.  Gives moms
practical advice on how to talk with their daughters
about these sensitive issues in a Godly way.
Daughters will be encouraged to dare to be
  virtuous. (6 sessions)

Knowing God by Name by Mary Kassian
Focuses on 35 Hebrew names of God that describe
His character, His relationships, and His purpose that
will compel participants to worship and praise Him.
Includes brief daily study with fun and engaging learning
activities.  Saturated in Scripture and words from ancient
hymns—a rich, meaningful study for any woman desiring
to know God better.  (7 sessions)

It is my desire for you to choose one of the studies, gather with a small group in your home and spend the summer growing together. Better yet, why not reach out to your neighbors or co-workers who are not connected to God.  Use this summer to be an effective witness in your Jerusalem.

If you have any questions about these summer studies, please contact Stephanie Rector: srector@redbankbaptist.org.
